Ratusz AI new
ratuszai.pl is a chat and search tool for the documents a Polish town hall produces: council resolutions, mayor’s orders, session minutes, roll-call votes, budgets. Office staff ask a question in plain Polish and get an answer with a citation back to the source PDF, instead of digging through a public-bulletin archive by hand.
It’s multi-tenant, one subdomain per municipality, built on Postgres and pgvector with a knowledge graph tracking which resolution repeals or amends which other one, hybrid full-text and vector search, and Gemini for embeddings and chat generation with citations enforced in the prompt. Pricing is deliberately kept under Poland’s public-procurement tender threshold, so a town’s own office can sign up directly.
Currently a self-run test deployment against one Polish municipality’s real document archive, proving it out before looking for an actual pilot customer. I wrote about how it came together, from a personal document-search experiment to a product other towns can use.

The RAG and knowledge-graph pipeline underneath Ratusz AI started as a personal project: indexing one town’s council resolutions so I could actually search them. Scraping the public-information bulletin, OCR for scanned pages, extracting legal cross-references, hybrid search with forced-citation answers. It’s the proof of concept that became the product above.
