Hey, I’m Tomasz.

DevOps and infrastructure engineer based in Poland. Father, self-taught builder of things that automate other things.

I’ve spent over 10 years working with Linux, networking, and infrastructure. Currently at CGI, working on production systems for international clients. I also focus on self-hosted services and making machines do the boring work so people don’t have to. AI tools help me move faster, but I’m the one making the decisions.

What I do

I build and maintain production infrastructure for international clients. Kubernetes clusters, RHEL and Ubuntu servers, cloud migrations, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring stacks, Jira and Confluence for project tracking. The usual DevOps toolkit, with AI coding assistants as a helpful sidekick. They’re good at drafting configs, searching logs, and suggesting fixes. I’m good at knowing which suggestions to trust.

On the side, I run a self-hosted home server that handles everything from task automation to network-wide ad blocking. My home lab and production environment in one.

What I believe

If you do something more than twice, automate it. Time is the only resource you can’t get back.

Done at 80% today beats perfect at 100% never. Perfectionism kills progress.

Every manual, repetitive task that isn’t automated is a waste of human potential. If a computer can do it, a human shouldn’t.

The tech stack

OS: RHEL, Ubuntu, Debian

Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible

Cloud: AWS, Azure, on-prem

AI tooling: Claude Code, Trigger.dev, custom scripts

Self-hosted: Vault, Privoxy, AdGuard Home, n8n, Samba

Languages: Bash, TypeScript, Python, Go (when forced)

This blog

Runs on Hugo with PaperMod, deployed as a Docker container on an ARM board via GitHub Actions. Cover images generated by Gemini. The whole thing is an experiment in pushing automation as far as it goes.

If something breaks in a spectacular way, that’s content too.
